
On February 17, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia held a briefing for representatives of the Georgian mass media dedicated to the motto of 2026: "Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the land of swift horses and fulfilled goals."
The briefing was attended by journalists from the "1TV" channel, "Obieqtivi" TV, "The Georgian Business Week" publication, "Europe 24" media holding, "Georgia Press" organization, "News Day Georgia" news agency, "Geoecohub" online publication, "Resonansi", "Multinational Georgia", "Free Georgia", "Komsomolskaya Pravda", "Vecherniy Tbilisi", "Vrastan" newspapers, and representatives of the Georgian analytical center "Geocase".
In his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia, D. Seyitmammedov, noted that the motto of 2026 reflects national development directions, the unity of the people, and the role of Akhal-Teke horses as a symbol of Turkmenistan's striving for progress and high frontiers.
During the briefing, the participants were introduced to the book by the esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov titled "Neutrality of Turkmenistan — A Bright Path of Peace and Trust." It was emphasized that the book pays special attention to the stages of the formation of Turkmen Neutrality and the significance of the country's legal status, recognized three times by relevant UN General Assembly Resolutions, in ensuring global peace, security, and sustainable development.
The Ambassador also spoke about Turkmen-Georgian cooperation. He noted that the active development of high-level visits provides additional impetus to bilateral relations, opening new opportunities for consistent and long-term partnership.
V. Miroshnichenko, editor-in-chief of "The Georgian Business Week," presented the latest issue of the magazine dedicated to Turkmenistan. He stated that this magazine allows the general reading public to get closely acquainted with Turkmenistan, as well as with the rapidly developing Turkmen-Georgian cooperation, which serves to strengthen the friendship and prosperity of the two peoples.
Honored journalist of Georgia, Professor B. Nachkebia, emphasized the importance of the Neutrality policy implemented by the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, which contributes to strengthening peace in the world and developing friendly and brotherly relations between nations. He noted that Neutrality is an important tool for ensuring global stability and security, implementing peace-loving initiatives, and discussing and solving vital issues through trust, dialogue, and responsibility.
