
During the official visit to Mbabane, on January 26, the Turkmen business delegation was received by Eswatini’s Prime Minister, Russel Mmiso Dlamini.
According to The Times of Eswatini, the meeting discussed investment opportunities in Eswatini for the Turkmen side.
As reported earlier, the delegation, led by Hydyrberdi Abdyrahmanov, owner and founder of “Aýdyň Gijeler Holding LTD,” visited Eswatini on behalf of the Turkmen Government to explore prospects for cooperation.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed strong interest in importing sugar from Eswatini, potentially opening new export markets for this key agricultural product.
The parties also considered expanding economic cooperation, including investments in various sectors in line with Eswatini’s development priorities.
The Prime Minister emphasized his government’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for foreign investment and expressed confidence that this cooperation would contribute to sustainable economic growth, job creation, and strengthened business relations.
He noted the visit takes place at a crucial moment following the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and expressed hope for successful and mutually beneficial partnership.
The meeting included Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Senator Folile Shakantu, Minister of Internal Affairs Shagyzy Lindiwe, and Eswatini’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Tami Dlamini.
