
On March 24, 2026, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Annaev and the President of the Romanian Equestrian Federation, Marilena Mladin, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of horse breeding and equestrian sports. Special attention was paid to the historical significance of Akhal-Teke horses, recognized as a global heritage and the national symbol of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side provided information on the extensive work being carried out to develop the industry, including modern infrastructure, the activities of the "Turkmen Atlary" (Turkmen Horses) State Association, and the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding.
A special place was given to the National Holiday of the Turkmen Steed. It was noted that international events held as part of this holiday serve as an effective platform for scientific and professional exchange among world-class specialists.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen practical cooperation, including the mutual exchange of experience between specialists and the implementation of joint projects.
