
On February 25-26 of this year, a conference titled "Economic Policy Trends and Regional Stability in the Caucasus and Central Asia" was held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia.
Turkmenistan was represented at the forum by Abdykerim Muhanow, Head of the Finance Department of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, and Ruslan Jumaýew, Head of the Economic Theory Department of the Turkmen State Finance Institute.
In their speeches, the Turkmen representatives spoke about the economic reforms implemented in our country, the execution of tax and budget policies, the stable growth of macroeconomic indicators, the efficient functioning of the financial and monetary systems, and the consistent improvement of the living standards and quality of life of the people of Turkmenistan.
The two-day regional conference consisted of eight sessions, during which participants discussed important issues such as the role and tasks of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), types of monetary policy and deflation management, fiscal policy mechanisms, structural reforms for diversification and economic growth, and labor market development.
The conference served as an effective platform for professional development, establishing beneficial contacts, engaging in discussions, exchanging knowledge and experience among experts, and seeking joint solutions to achieve sustainable development and ensure economic stability in the regions.
