A. Seyitberdyyeva, a Korean language teacher at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Döwletmämmet Azady, along with students of the pedagogical education program (Korean language, Turkmen language and literature), are taking part in the short-term Korean language and culture program titled “Feel Korea! with KNU” from January 19 to February 2, 2026. The program is being held in the cities of Seoul and Chuncheon of the Republic of Korea within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in science and education between the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Döwletmämmet Azady and Kangwon National University.
During the program, participants attend practical Korean language classes, developing their daily communication skills. Throughout the lessons, students learn to write complex words in the Korean alphabet and improve their writing and speaking abilities.
As part of the cultural program, students visited national museums in the cities of Chuncheon and Seoul, where they became acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage, as well as the natural beauty of these cities.
Such educational programs play a significant role in developing students’ not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills in learning the Korean language. Studying a foreign language in its natural linguistic environment enables students to master the language more quickly and effectively. Moreover, close familiarity with the national traditions, cultural values, and way of life of the Korean people broadens students’ worldviews, increases their interest in international cooperation, and encourages their professional development as qualified language specialists in the future.
