In independent and permanently Neutral Turkmenistan, large-scale projects are being implemented to protect the environment and transform the country into a green oasis. In this context, a practical training seminar titled "Let's Turn Our Beloved Motherland into a Flowering Garden" was organized at the nursery of the Lebap velayat branch of the Nature Protection Society of Turkmenistan.
The seminar was attended by specialists from the Nature Protection Society, experienced gardeners, as well as teachers and students from the Turkmenabat Agro-industrial Secondary Professional School of the Turkmen Agricultural University and the Turkmenabat Financial and Economic Secondary Professional School.
During the event, experienced gardeners Miwe Arashova and Rozymyrat Saparov shared detailed information about the intricacies of agrotechnical care for tree saplings and fragrant roses grown in the nursery. Students received practical demonstrations and clear answers to their questions regarding cultivation methods.
In their speeches, teachers emphasized the positive impact of forest zones on human health. Specifically, the importance of the National Forest Program, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan, in improving the country's ecological state was highlighted.
Currently, more than 20,000 various types of tree and rose saplings are cared for in the society's nursery. Every year, during the spring and autumn planting seasons, these are distributed to educational centers, government agencies, and farmers' associations. Beyond mere distribution, specialists consistently provide guidance on proper planting and agrotechnical maintenance.
The primary goal of the seminar was to cultivate moral character in the youth and foster a sense of love and responsibility for the environment. The inclusion of visual aids, photographs, and herbaria made the session particularly engaging for the students.
Gardeners and ecologists in Lebap remain committed to continuing these noble efforts to showcase the beauty of Turkmen nature to the world.
