Work continues in Lebap velayat to improve the material and technical base of the road and transport sector and raise the level of transport services. Measures in this direction are aimed at both ensuring convenient commuting for the population and expanding the region's transport capabilities.

In recent years, special attention has been paid in the velayat to developing modern infrastructure for air, rail, and road transport. The international airports in the cities of Türkmenabat and Kerki, the bridges across the Amu Darya, and the Ashgabat — Türkmenabat high-speed highway are among the vital facilities of the region's transport system.

In addition, modern transport facilities and new vehicles aimed at improving the quality of passenger services have been put into operation in the city of Türkmenabat.
