SC "Turkmengas" Authorized to Conclude a Contract with China's CNPC Company

On Friday, during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via a digital system, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree authorizing the State Concern "Turkmengas" to conclude a contract with "CNPC Amudarya Petroleum Company Ltd." of the People's Republic of China. The contract is for the construction of a facility capable of processing 10 billion cubic meters of commercial gas per year as part of the fourth stage of the "Galkynysh" gas field development.

According to the official Turkmen media, under the Decree, "CNPC Amudarya Petroleum Company Ltd." will design and build "turnkey" production wells sufficient to prepare the specified volume of commercial gas.

This document was adopted with the aim of successfully implementing the tasks set for the country's oil and gas industry in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State and increasing the production of Turkmen natural gas.

Several other important issues of state life were also considered during the meeting, and relevant decisions were made.
