Turkmenistan continues the steady development of its e-commerce infrastructure. This is confirmed by information published on the official website of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
As of 1 January 2026, a total of 1,043 trade points have been connected to the e-commerce system via various banks. These include specialized online stores and enterprises accepting bank card payments over the internet.
By number of e-commerce points, Halkbank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank leads with 571 points. Rysgal Joint-Stock Commercial Bank also contributes significantly with 248 points. Indicators of other participants are as follows:

· “Senagat” JSCB — 60 points
· Turkmen-Turkish JSCB — 13 points
· “Turkmenbasy” JSCB — 2 points

Geographically, most internet trade points are concentrated in the capital: Ashgabat leads with 719 points (about 69% of the total). In other regions:

There has also been major progress in the volume of non-cash payments made through e-commerce systems:
· as of 1 December 2025 — 2,634,893,721 manats
· as of 1 December 2024 — 1,435,636,141 manats
Thus, within one year, the volume of payments through online stores and services increased by approximately 84% (+1.199 billion manats).
Thanks to the overall digitalization of the banking sector (bank cards, modern POS terminals, and mobile banking), the e-commerce segment is currently growing rapidly.
It is also worth noting that in 2025–2026 the Government adopted several strategic documents, including the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy of Turkmenistan for 2026–2028.
With the implementation of the national digitalization program and the simplification of conditions for online trade, the number of internet payment points is expected to grow even further in the coming years.
