The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shumin, visited the Turkmenistan branch of "Sinopec Petroleum Technology Corporation," getting acquainted with the enterprise's production and operational activities.

"Sinopec Petroleum Technology Corporation" is among the specialized subsidiaries of "Sinopec Group," one of China's largest oil and gas and petrochemical companies. The company operates in areas such as well drilling, technical services, and engineering support for oil and gas projects.

During the visit, the diplomat assessed the company's activities in Turkmenistan's energy sector, noting its contribution to the development of Turkmen-Chinese oil and gas cooperation.

The Ambassador drew attention to the importance of effectively utilizing existing opportunities to further expand energy partnership between the two countries. In this regard, it was noted that aligning China's "Belt and Road" initiative with Turkmenistan's strategy of reviving the Great Silk Road could create new opportunities.

Ji Shumin emphasized the need for strict compliance with relevant norms and requirements during the implementation of the company's operations. He also pointed out the importance of appropriate approaches to strengthen quality control of ongoing projects and ensure that production processes are organized at a high level.

The presence of major international companies like Sinopec operating in Turkmenistan demonstrates the practical nature of bilateral energy cooperation. The development of such cooperation can facilitate the application of modern technologies and engineering solutions in the oil and gas sector, as well as the more efficient use of Turkmenistan's energy potential.
