
On March 17, 2026, the International Day of Nowruz was celebrated in Abanotubani, the historical center of Tbilisi, with the support of the city hall and the participation of the embassies of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, as well as diasporas and cultural centers.
In the cultural zone of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, decorated in national style, guests were given the opportunity to experience the richness and uniqueness of the country's cultural heritage. The pavilion featured books by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as national costumes, jewelry, exquisite handmade carpets, paintings, souvenirs, national dishes, and sweets. A special corner was also organized dedicated to the 2026 motto "Independent and Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — Land of Horses Reaching Their Goal."
Since ancient times, Nowruz has been an integral part of the life and culture of Eastern peoples. Its traditions, reflecting the uniqueness of each nation, serve to strengthen friendship, unity, peace, and mutual trust between peoples. This holiday is a wonderful example of intercultural dialogue, embodying the inseparable connection of eras, the continuity of generations, and the inviolability of universal humanitarian values.
The festive event concluded with a concert program featuring national songs and dances, which brought the joyful spirit of spring to all guests.
