In honor of the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan, employees of the "Morinjgeologiya" group of service companies successfully summited one of the world's most challenging and dangerous peaks—Mount Annapurna (8,091 m) in Nepal. This heart-stirring sporting victory serves as another testament to the unwavering will and unity of Turkmen mountaineers.
The Annapurna massif, located in central Nepal, holds a special place in mountaineering history as the first 8,000-meter peak ever conquered by humanity in 1950. As the world's 10th highest mountain, it is considered one of the most extreme points due to its border with the Kali Gandaki—the world's deepest gorge—along with harsh weather conditions and high avalanche risks.
This latest victory enriches the team's illustrious sporting record, which includes legendary peaks such as Everest, K2 (Chogori), Manaslu, Kilimanjaro, and Mont Blanc. As per tradition, the sacred green Flag of Turkmenistan was ceremoniously unfurled at each of these locations. Beyond sports, "Morinjgeologiya" continues to achieve high results in the energy sector, working on projects like the "Cheleken" field and "Block-I" in the Caspian shelf.
