The student team of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan successfully performed in the finals of the international competition titled "Specialists for the Digital System. Creating Project-Design Solutions in a Competitive Format in Cyberspace," held in the Russian Federation, and once again added to the international achievements of our country.
This prestigious competition, which commenced in September 2025, was held in three categories, and 4,278 participants from CIS countries joined it. According to the results of the preliminary online stages, the best 57 teams from higher education institutions of 6 states — Turkmenistan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan — won the right to compete on the path to the finals.
The national team of Turkmenistan included 8 young specialists — coaches, organizers, programmers, engineers, and technicians. Our students successfully passed the training and testing stages, completing complex tasks on controlling cyber-physical devices in a simulator and assembling them manually. The students showed great skill, particularly in performing high-level complex acrobatic maneuvers in "acro" mode with the help of flying cyber-physical equipment.
In one of the complex stages of the competition called "Zarnisa," ground and air cyber-physical devices were controlled remotely via the internet at a speed of 50–100 Mbit/sec. As a result of this test, the team of Oguz Han University took the 4th place among 57 competitors.
Furthermore, in an additional stage called "Sborchik.SIM" (assembling an individual means of transportation), Turkmen students showed a record result. They fully assembled a flying cyber-physical device consisting of 35 parts in just 10 minutes and won the 1st place with an average score of 97.3. Moreover, 4 students of the team managed to gain the highest score of 100 without making a single mistake, and this indicator raised the overall ranking of the team even higher.
In the pre-final stage, the participants were tasked with using the Python programming language to develop an algorithm for the automatic control of 4 flying and 2 ground cyber-physical devices. During the 4-hour live broadcast, the Turkmen team created special software for the cyber-physical devices, and those devices successfully delivered 16 cargoes to the designated points automatically.
As a result of the magnificent results achieved, the students of the Turkmen higher education institution received an official invitation from the organizers and participated in the final stage of the competition held in Moscow from May 11 to 16. Out of 57 teams participating from 6 CIS countries, only the strongest 8 teams won the right to compete in the finals.
Within the framework of the solemn program of the finals, Turkmen students excelled in both individual and team competitions. In the simulator race, Kerim Nazarov, a 3rd-year student of the "Cyber-Physical Systems" faculty of the university and the team captain, took the 1st place among 64 participants with a result of 58 seconds.
In the overall team standings of the four competitions, the "Oguz Wings" team of the Turkmen university was awarded the 2nd place.
For the high speed and maneuvers demonstrated in the "Cyber-delivery" (delivering cargoes to the designated distance in a short time) and "UAV Race" (competition of unmanned cyber-physical devices) stages, our team was awarded a special cup and a certificate of honor in the "Multirotor Maneuver" category (the team that controlled multirotor cyber-physical devices most accurately, quickly, and flexibly).
Also, during the presentation of engineering projects, Turkmen students successfully assembled unmanned cyber-physical systems (UAVs) capable of moving on water and land.
These great successes achieved by the Turkmen team are another proof of the high quality of education provided in our country in the field of digital and cyber-physical systems, and the advanced professional training of the students. This victory of our youth at the international level clearly demonstrated their scientific and creative capabilities, elevating the prestige of our Homeland even higher in the global arena.
