Telephone conversation held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Uzbekistan

A telephone conversation was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported in the "Watan" news program.

Warmly greeting each other, the interlocutors congratulated one another and the brotherly peoples of the two countries on the upcoming Oraza holiday. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in turn, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 4th anniversary of his inauguration.

During the telephone conversation, the parties noted the consistent strengthening of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, which plays a vital role in reinforcing friendship, brotherhood, good neighborliness, and mutual understanding between the two nations. While exchanging views on the current state of bilateral relations, the interlocutors emphasized the development of partnership in all areas, particularly in trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural fields, and highly praised the work of the Turkmen-Uzbek intergovernmental commission. Furthermore, high-level meetings are regular and distinguished by their effectiveness. In this regard, the National Leader of the Turkmen people invited President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Turkmenistan at the head of a high-level delegation to participate in upcoming summits and meetings held within their framework.

At the end of the conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished each other sound health and success in their state activities, and peace and prosperity to the brotherly peoples of the two countries.
