One of the national values that our people have refined and perfected over the centuries is the Turkmen carpet. In the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, the development of carpet weaving—inherited from antiquity and elevated to the level of art—has become one of the main directions of state policy. The weavers of the Halach Artistic Carpet Enterprise are carrying out exemplary work in weaving Turkmen carpets, which are our national pride, distinguished by their knot density, durability, beauty, unique radiance, and delicate refinement.
The master weavers of this long-standing enterprise consistently increased production momentum in January, weaving 178.58 square meters of carpets and carpet products. Alongside carpets of various sizes, souvenir carpet products are also prepared here.
"Our women weavers demonstrate great skill in weaving exquisite carpets. In January, we primarily focused on large-scale carpets; by the order of 'Altyn' Economic Society, we wove a trapezoidal carpet (6.53m x 6.53m, total area 36.67 sq.m), as well as white carpets with the 'gushly' pattern (6.40m x 5.8m, total area 37.12 sq.m) with 304 knots, and several small-scale carpets," proudly notes Mahri Annamuradova, master of the 3rd workshop and Honored Carpet Weaver of Turkmenistan. This was reported in the "Türkmen gündogary" newspaper.
According to information from the enterprise's specialists, they are currently preparing to cut a white carpet with the "gushly" pattern (2.75m x 3.80m, total area 10.45 sq.m) and a red carpet with the "gushly" pattern (7m x 4m, total area 28 sq.m), both woven based on orders. Additionally, several carpets measuring 3m x 2m (6 sq.m) and 1.5m x 1m (1.5 sq.m) are being woven these days. Furthermore, according to orders, carpets with "beshir," "yaprak," and "derweze" patterns, landscape carpets, double-sided carpets, and souvenir items are being produced.
"The majority of our employees are women who work tirelessly to restore ancient Turkmen carpet patterns, create new ones, and perfect the art of carpet weaving. Our master weavers pay great attention to the placement of patterns, weaving density, color harmony, national characteristics, and the elegance of execution. We also conduct effective work in teaching the secrets of the craft to the youth through the 'mentor-apprentice' tradition. The results of this work are reflected in our labor victories. Honored Carpet Weavers of Turkmenistan Saparay Jomartova, Chemen Rozyyeva, and skilled weavers Gulnara Rezwanova, Nartach Tolegowa, Aknabat Shaymerdanowa, Akjemal Pirimkulyyewa, and Jemile Dowranowa make significant contributions to our achievements. We sincerely thank our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating great opportunities for the production of exquisite carpet products born from ten-finger craftsmanship that amaze everyone with their beauty," said Nargiza Gurbannazarowa, head of the primary trade union organization of the Halach Artistic Carpet Enterprise.
