
The number of members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) is steadily increasing and has currently approached 30 thousand. This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
As noted in the report, members of the union are achieving high results in fields such as livestock, poultry, food and industrial production, and construction.
In accordance with the Program for Socio-Economic Development and Investments of the country for 2026, signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 13 of this year, it is planned to operate production enterprises at full capacity, create about 5,300 new jobs through the construction of new enterprises, develop small and medium entrepreneurship, increase the share of the private sector in the GDP to 72.9%, and direct a total of nearly 41.2 billion manats in investments into the country's economy in 2026 through all sources of financing.
In December 2025, the "Eziz Dag" Economic Society, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, commissioned a greenhouse complex located in the Mary district with an area of 12 hectares, intended for growing 3,000 tons of vegetables per year, creating 150 new jobs.
