
As part of ongoing efforts to improve customs operations in line with modern requirements and to create favorable conditions for the development of foreign economic activity, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has launched a telephone-based online question-and-answer service. The Service announced this on Thursday.
According to the statement, the new service enables participants in foreign economic activity, including foreign trade, as well as citizens crossing or planning to cross the customs border, to receive real-time online answers to their customs-related questions.
The online service of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan also provides explanations regarding customs procedures carried out when goods are transported across the customs border, including customs clearance, payment of customs duties, and restrictions and prohibitions established by the legislation of Turkmenistan.
In addition, the Q&A service offers detailed information on requirements for vehicles imported into Turkmenistan, documents required for customs control and clearance, as well as the types and rates of applicable customs payments. The service is provided free of charge.
