The Turkmen delegation held a series of bilateral meetings during the Days of Turkmen Cinema in Türkiye

Between February 16-18, 2026, within the framework of the Days of Turkmen Cinema held in the Republic of Türkiye, the Turkmen delegation conducted several bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation and exchanging experience in the fields of cinematography, television, and arts.

Thus, on February 16, at the building of the International Organization TURKSOY, a meeting was held between the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Minister of Culture A. Shamuradov and the Secretary General of the organization S. Rayev. During the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation in the cultural sphere and implementing joint cultural projects were discussed.

On February 17, Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan A. Shamuradov met with the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The parties discussed possibilities for strengthening cooperation in the fields of cinema, theater, and musical arts, as well as implementing joint educational and cultural-humanitarian programs.

On February 18, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography A. Kakayev met with the Vice-Rector of Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts Barış Demirci. The meeting discussed opportunities for developing academic cooperation, organizing joint training courses, educational programs, and creative master classes for Turkmen students and teachers.

The meetings held contributed to further strengthening cultural ties between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye, expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of cinema, music, television, and arts, and opened new opportunities for promoting Turkmen culture in the international arena.

In addition, during the visit, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Minister of Culture A. Shamuradov participated in the flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy in the “Turkmenistan” park in the center of Ankara.

During the ceremony, A. Shamuradov emphasized the special place of Magtymguly Pyragy's creativity in the development of world literature and culture, and also provided information about the events held in 2026 under the slogan “Independent, eternally Neutral Turkmenistan – the land where the dreams of a swift steed come true”.
