The United Nations has officially published documents summarizing the outcomes of two major international events held with the participation of Turkmenistan and included them in the materials of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and Security Council. This was reported on Tuesday by the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN.
The first document reflects the results of the international conference titled “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Enhancing International Cooperation to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.” The conference addressed issues related to strengthening the role of women in society, promoting gender equality, and expanding international cooperation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The second document contains the Ashgabat Declaration adopted at the international forum held in celebration of 2025 — the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. The declaration emphasizes the crucial importance of dialogue, mutual trust, and neutrality in strengthening peace and stability.
The inclusion of these documents in the official UN records demonstrates the high recognition of Turkmenistan’s international initiatives and plays a significant role in promoting multilateral cooperation.
