The Work of Power Engineers Excels

In the historic era of rapid development of our Independent Homeland, the modernization of the power engineering sector is recognized as a priority direction of state policy, and profound reforms are being implemented in this area.

The staff of the State Electric Power Station, dedicating each day to labor achievements in the year of “Independent, Eternal, Neutral Turkmenistan — the Land of Rapid Achievements,” effectively contribute to increasing the country’s energy capacity and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to the region.

According to the results of the first month of the current year, 157,510 kWh of electricity was generated, with 101.62% of the planned target achieved. The value of services performed amounted to 3,073,000 manat, fulfilling 101.8% of the plan.

— Our modern power plant, with a total capacity of 254 MW, was opened in 2016 with the blessing of the Heroic Arkadag and put into operation. Two MS9001E gas turbines from General Electric (USA), each with a capacity of 127 MW, operate at the station. The produced electricity is continuously regulated and monitored by the Central Dispatch Department of the state corporation “Türkmenenergo,” — says Chief Engineer Begench Geldiyev.

Work on managing gas turbine installations and auxiliary systems is carried out in two shifts. Produced electricity is transmitted to consumers without interruptions through 110–220 kV open distribution networks via ring lines. Thanks to comprehensive work on developing the power engineering sector in the era of the Revival of the New Epoch, a unified ring electrical system has been created in the country.

— About 70 specialists work at the station. Each of them contributes significantly to the achieved labor successes. Especially noteworthy are Shift Head Silap Kulyyev, Chief of the Electric Shop Seyitmyrat Jumayev, Personnel Specialist Mekan Sherapov, and Pump Station Operator Begench Khudaibergenov, who set an example of dedication and contribute to the overall achievements.

The Chief Engineer concluded his speech with pride, expressing gratitude to the Heroic Arkadag, who raised the country’s power engineering to new heights, and wished new labor achievements to the station staff in the auspicious year of the 35th anniversary of our Independence.
