Tournament for the Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup Begins

Today, March 3rd, marks the start of the next competition for the Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup.

Eight teams will participate in the cup competition: "Arkadag" (Arkadag city), "Ahal" (Anau city, Ahal province), "Shagadam" (Turkmenbashy city, Balkan province), "Merw" (Mary city, Mary province), "Ashgabat" (Ashgabat city), "Nebitchi" (Balkanabat city, Balkan province), "Kopetdag" (Ashgabat city), and the Turkmenistan U-20 national youth team. The winner of the tournament will be determined on March 12th.

According to the results of the draw, Group "A" includes "Kopetdag," "Ahal," "Shagadam," and "Nebitchi," while Group "B" features the country's U-20 national team, along with "Arkadag," "Ashgabat," and "Merw."

In the preliminary stage, the teams are divided into two groups — Group "A" and Group "B." The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The teams finishing in third and fourth places will play matches to determine 5th–6th and 7th–8th places.

All matches will be held on the central field of the "Ashgabat" multi-purpose stadium in the capital.
