
From January to November 2025, trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Turkey amounted to approximately $2 billion. This was announced on Wednesday in Ashgabat by Ahmet Demirok, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Turkmenistan.
According to the diplomat, trade between the two countries is steadily increasing, with plans to raise it to $5 billion.
Ahmet Demirok also noted that from February 10 to 12, an exhibition of Turkish export goods will be held in Ashgabat, with over 80 Turkish companies participating, creating new opportunities for business cooperation.
In addition, in April 2026, the 9th meeting of the Turkmen-Turkish Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Group is scheduled to take place in Ashgabat, chaired by Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev.
The discussions will cover ongoing and prospective joint projects, strengthening economic cooperation, and exploring new investment opportunities.
In 2024, trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Turkey amounted to $2.17 billion.
