Traditional Chinese Medicine Center Planned to Open in Turkmenistan

During a friendly visit to China, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping. During the meeting, Xi Jinping expressed confidence that projects to open a Traditional Chinese Medicine Center and "Lu Ban Workshops" in Turkmenistan would be implemented in the near future.

Issues of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the fields of science and education, were discussed during the meeting. This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan thanked the Chinese side for the broad opportunities provided to Turkmen youth to study at higher education institutions in China.

The President of the PRC confirmed China's readiness to continue cooperation in the education sector and to exchange experience in the fields of intellectual property and horse breeding. He also noted that Turkmenistan's agricultural products are distinguished by their high ecological standards and stated China's interest in advancing cooperation in the agricultural sector—specifically in supplying high-performance machinery, implementing water-saving technologies, and developing "green" energy.

Furthermore, an exchange of views took place during the meeting regarding the development of economic, trade, and cultural-humanitarian relations.
