Training seminars held for the upcoming March 29 elections in Turkmenistan

As part of the preparations for the elections of members of the halk maslahaty of newly created districts, as well as the elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of velayat, etrap, city halk maslahaty, and Gengesh members to replace those who left office early, which will be held on March 29 this year, training seminars were conducted for members of precinct election commissions and national observers. Additionally, meetings between candidates and voters are actively continuing in the respective constituencies.

As reported in the "Watan" news program, the seminars provided detailed information on the ongoing efforts to modernize the country's electoral system. In accordance with the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, comprehensive explanations were given regarding the system of election commissions, the powers and duties of precinct election commissions, the compilation of voter lists, the proper equipment of polling stations, the types of ballots and their preparation, and the procedure for using election documents.

Participants of the training seminars received specific recommendations for the organized conduct of this important socio-political event and engaged in Q&A sessions. Currently, meetings with voters are being held extensively and in an organized manner across the country's regions and the city of Ashgabat.
