The grand opening of the XIII International Sports and Tourism Camp took place at the "Khvalynsky" ski resort in the Saratov region of Russia. This large-scale event, named "Turiada-2026," which commenced on May 19, brought together over 700 young people and industry experts from the regions of the Volga Federal District and member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Among the international delegations, the youth national team of Turkmenistan, consisting of active youth and students studying in the field of sports tourism, represents our country.
Exciting competitions in pedestrian, water, and cycling sports are organized for the youth at the international camp's venue. The event program also encompasses cultural and educational aspects, offering participants extensive opportunities to exchange mutual experiences and enhance their professional skills.
Within the framework of this forum, the representatives of Turkmenistan are actively participating in competitions aimed at determining the best tourist route. Furthermore, our students plan to ceremonially present the rich national cultural traditions of our beloved Homeland, as well as to deliver speeches at the expert consultation dedicated to the development of the cross-border hospitality system.
According to the organizers, involving foreign representatives, particularly Turkmen youth, in the "Turiada" project creates favorable conditions for the formation of strong diplomatic and professional relations among young specialists who will work in the tourism industry in the future. This event also serves as an effective international platform for developing and implementing new joint youth projects of a humanitarian nature within the CIS space.
