The Turkmen Agricultural Institute is inviting students from higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad to participate in the 3rd International Scientific Projects Competition, “Agro-Innovations: Towards Sustainable Development.” The competition will be held online on November 11–12, 2026.
All university students interested in scientific projects are eligible to participate. There are no restrictions based on field of study or year of study. The official languages of the event are Turkmen, English and Russian.
The competition will consist of two stages. It aims to contribute to the implementation of tasks arising from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to sustainable agricultural development and the rational use of water resources.
Scientific projects will be accepted in three categories: agriculture-related projects, information technology (IT) projects and business projects.
Entries may be prepared by an individual student or a team of no more than two student authors. Participants must submit a written description of their scientific project in their chosen category to the jury and present the project’s content in a presentation.
Projects will be assessed according to six main criteria: relevance, novelty, content, scope, feasibility and environmental impact. Participants’ results will be determined by their total scores across these criteria. Winners will receive first-, second- and third-degree diplomas awarded in the name of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
Students wishing to participate must prepare their personal information in accordance with the form available on the institute’s official website and send it to tohi.tm.info@gmail.com by November 5, 2026.
The competition rules, participation requirements and application information are available on the official website of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
The main aim of the international competition is to develop students’ scientific thinking, research skills and creativity, while encouraging them to seek independent solutions to pressing challenges in agriculture.
According to the organizers, the event will give young people an opportunity to expand their knowledge of sustainable agricultural development, apply scientific approaches to practical problems and improve their ability to develop innovative and effective solutions for the agricultural sector.
