Next month, the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev will host an international scientific and practical conference and exhibition entitled “Digital Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity in the Scientific and Educational System: Modern Trends in Scientific and Technological Development.” An international open Internet Olympiad is also planned as part of these events.

The main objectives of this large-scale international forum are to strengthen international scientific cooperation, develop the intellectual potential of young people, and contribute to the implementation of the State Programme for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2026–2028.

Students, young researchers and academic staff from higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and foreign countries are expected to participate in the events.

During the international conference, important issues such as the integration of artificial intelligence into the education system, the automation of scientific research, and ensuring the cybersecurity of information systems will be discussed.

As part of the Internet Olympiad, students will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in programming, algorithm design and data protection through the university’s digital platform.

The organisation of these events is aimed at expanding international academic dialogue, promoting the exchange of experience, and encouraging Turkmen youth to take a greater interest in research activities.
