Turkmen Boxers Win Two Bronze Medals in Thailand

Athletes of the Turkmenistan national youth boxing team have returned home with joyful news. Turkmen fighters secured two bronze medals at the prestigious "World Boxing Futures Cup 2026," held from March 8 to 15 in Bangkok, the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand.

More than 450 athletes from 78 countries participated in the prestigious U19 competition. It is also important to note that this tournament was a mandatory qualification stage for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games to be held in Dakar.

Both Turkmen athletes competing in the under-19 boys' category won bronze medals:

• Ysmayyl Orazmyradow (up to 75 kg);
• Soyunaly Ovezgeldiyev (up to 90 kg).

The results in Bangkok once again proved that Turkmen boxers are competitive on the international stage and fully prepared for major challenges.
