Representatives of Turkmenistan's energy sector and scientific community are participating in an international theoretical and practical training program on modern "green" technologies at Clausthal University of Technology in Germany.

Running from July 25 to August 16, the program is implemented within the framework of a strategic project by the European Union and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The main objective of the training is to study modern methods for developing renewable energy sources, reduce methane emissions into the atmosphere, and gain experience in applying artificial intelligence technologies in industry.

The program involves specialists from the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the State Energy Institute, the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, the Natural Gas Research Institute of the State Concern "Turkmengas," and specialists from the concern itself.

During the three-week training, Turkmen specialists are studying the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, data processing and analysis methods, principles of creating neural networks, and practical aspects of applying digital solutions in industrial production.

The internship program also places special emphasis on issues such as ensuring the integrity of oil and gas wells, conducting directional drilling, and detecting methane leaks. Attention is likewise given to the use of artificial intelligence algorithms in predicting the efficiency of photovoltaic equipment.

Turkmen specialists will visit major industrial enterprises in Germany, including a sour gas processing plant and renewable energy facilities, to familiarize themselves with industrial practices.

The knowledge and practical experience gathered during the program are planned to be utilized in educational, research, and specialist training activities at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev.

Such training courses, conducted within the framework of international cooperation, aim to introduce innovative technologies into Turkmenistan's energy sector, develop scientific and technical potential, and contribute to the transition to a "green" economy.
