Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan plan to direct their investments toward the implementation of several important projects in 2026. This was reported in the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper published on Tuesday.
Accordingly, the construction of two-story shopping centers in the Gurtly residential complex of Ashgabat, trade and service complexes in the Parahat-7 residential complex, and a multi-purpose textile production enterprise on an 11-hectare area in the Ak Bugday district of Ahal province is planned.
The report notes that among the priority areas will be the creation of new livestock and poultry farms in the agro-industrial sector, the expansion of greenhouse farming, and the establishment of fruit orchards and vegetable fields through the introduction of water-saving technologies.
As stated in the report, the "Program for Socio-Economic Development and Investment of Turkmenistan in 2026" is aimed at the dynamic development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship. It is planned to increase the share of the private sector in the GDP to 72.9 percent (excluding enterprises of the country's fuel and energy complex).
Furthermore, it is envisioned to create 5,245 new jobs this year through the construction of new production capacities in various sectors and the modernization of existing ones across the country.
