Turkmen Students’ Snow-Made Akhal-Teke Horse Wins Award at Harbin International Festival

Turkmen students studying at Harbin Engineering University achieved great success at the 18th International Student Snow Sculpture Competition held in Harbin.

The team, presenting a symbolic sculpture called “Pride of Turkmenistan,” successfully showcased the nation’s culture on the international stage and won second place.

The sculpture was created by Didar Serdarov, Ilmyrat Rejepow, Yusupjan Jorayev, and Bagtyyar Amanow. At the center of the work stands an Akhal-Teke horse. The snow and ice sculpture impressed the judges with its elegance and finesse, earning the Turkmen team a certificate from the competition’s organizing committee.

Creating a snow horse in the Year of the Horse symbolized the achievements expected to culminate in even greater results in 2026.
