
The infrastructure of the Turkmenbashi Oil Refining Complex (TORC) of the State Concern “Türkmennebit” will be modernized. This was announced on Friday at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the “Kenar” oil gathering and loading enterprise is a key structural unit of the complex, ensuring the reception, storage, and uninterrupted shipment of petroleum products to consumers via rail and sea transport. This was reported by Turkmenistan’s official media.
Batyr Amanov noted that further modernization of this enterprise is aimed at improving the reception, storage, and loading of refined petroleum products, as well as significantly strengthening the country’s transport and logistics capacity.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the oil refining industry is being developed in line with modern requirements and that effective efforts are being undertaken to ensure the reliable delivery of petroleum products to consumers. The Head of State supported the proposal to modernize the complex and instructed that the necessary measures be taken.
Founded in 1943, the Turkmenbashi Oil Refining Complex produces unleaded automotive fuels, aviation and technical kerosene, jet and diesel fuel, fuel oil, lubricants, polypropylene, furnace fuel, light gas oil, petroleum electrode coke, liquefied gas, construction and road bitumen, as well as a number of other petroleum products.
