Airlines plans to increase the number of flights between Ashgabat and Istanbul. According to the new changes, starting from October 25, 2026, there will be 13 flights per week on this route. According to the schedule posted on the airline's official website, the additional flight will be operated on Wednesdays. Thus, direct flights on the Ashgabat — Istanbul route will be operated on all days of the week.

Currently, «Türkmenistan» Airlines operates flights from Ashgabat to Istanbul on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On most of these days, two flights are scheduled. After the new schedule comes into effect, the times of some flights will also change. Specifically, flight T5-921 will depart from Ashgabat at 19:10 instead of the previous 18:20. The departure time for flight T5-901 will be moved from 05:50 to 07:30. The time of the Friday morning flight will also be changed, moving from 04:35 to 03:40.

The Ashgabat — Istanbul route is one of the important international air routes for citizens of Turkmenistan and foreign passengers. Increasing the frequency of flights will allow for a more convenient organization of passenger transport between the two cities. Currently, «Türkmenistan» Airlines also operates direct international flights from Ashgabat to Delhi, Beijing, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, London, Frankfurt, Milan, and Kazan.
