Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan Discussed Joint Construction Projects

Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction under the President of Turkmenistan, met with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on May 17. This was reported by the Azerbaijani news portal "news.milli.az".

At the beginning of the meeting, D. Orazov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the Head of the Azerbaijani State from the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The head of the Turkmen delegation sincerely congratulated the leader of the brotherly country on the successful holding of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Azerbaijan. It was noted that this international event holds great significance for exchanging experience and building modern cities in the region.

One of the matters that received special attention during the talks was the project of the mosque being constructed in the Azerbaijani city of Fuzuli on the initiative of Turkmenistan. President Ilham Aliyev expressed special gratitude to the Turkmen side for this noble and friendly initiative and informed that the construction work of this sacred site continues at a rapid pace in accordance with the schedule.

At the same time, the parties discussed the progress of restoration works in the Karabakh region, where a large-scale reconstruction and redevelopment program has been implemented in recent years.

Following the results of the meeting, the Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of Turkmenistan, Deryageldi Orazov, confirmed that he plans to pay a special visit to the Karabakh region in the near future. He noted that his goal is to get acquainted on-site with the progress of the large-scale urban development and regional projects carried out there, as well as to share the experience of the Turkmen side in this field.
