Turkmenistan discussed issues of cooperation in the transport and energy sectors with the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). This matter was reviewed during a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Deputy Executive Secretary of ESCAP Shombi Sharp. Shombi Sharp reported this on his social media accounts on Sunday. During the meeting, issues related to sustainable development directions and the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals were also discussed. Previously, Shombi Sharp had reported that the cooperation between Turkmenistan and ESCAP is moving into a targeted implementation phase in key areas such as trade, connectivity, energy transition, and digital development.
