Representatives of the International University for the Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan are participating in a study visit in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, as part of the European Union’s regional Digital Connectivity in Central Asia (C4CA) project.
The main objective of the visit, taking place from August 17 to 22, is to exchange experience in digital transformation, communication technologies and modern digital infrastructure, as well as to further strengthen international cooperation between Turkmenistan and Finland in these areas.
The C4CA project is being implemented by Finland’s Laurea University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the Finnish Institute of Public Management (HAUS). The project is aimed at supporting digital development in Central Asian countries and promoting the exchange of international experience in relevant fields.
During the study visit, N. Shyhlyyev, Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, held several meetings with the project’s leaders. The discussions focused on priority areas of cooperation in digital education, research and technology.
Particular attention during the meetings was paid to opportunities for implementing joint initiatives in the education sector, introducing digital technologies into the learning process and making use of international experience.
As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached to implement part of the C4CA project at the International University for the Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan. This cooperation will create additional opportunities to accelerate digital transformation at the Turkmen higher education institution and learn from Finland’s experience.
The activities carried out within the framework of the project constitute an important part of Turkmenistan’s efforts to develop the digital economy, widely introduce innovative technologies into the education system and establish new areas of international cooperation.
