The interlocutors drew attention to the meeting between the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, held in Samarkand last April within the framework of the first "Central Asia – European Union" summit. The parties also expressed interest in advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in this direction.
The meeting focused on the development of cooperation in the energy sector, noting that along with the diversification of this system, programmatic work is being carried out in Turkmenistan on clean, environmentally friendly "green" energy.
