
Turkmenistan and Turkey discussed creating new business opportunities and enhancing business cooperation. The relevant issues were considered during a bilateral meeting in Ashgabat on Tuesday between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nökerguly Atagulyýew and Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, according to Ömer Bolat’s social media post.
Turkmenistan and Turkey exchanged views on creating new business opportunities and improving business relations.
The parties paid special attention to activating business ties, organizing joint exhibitions, investment forums, and bilateral business meetings. These events are aimed at encouraging entrepreneurial activity and attracting investments.
During the talks, they also confirmed their readiness to develop cooperation in all sectors of the economy, including trade, contracting, joint investments, energy, transport, and tourism.
According to the report, the bilateral trade volume reached USD 2.2 billion in 2025. The parties stated they will continue efforts to increase trade turnover to USD 5 billion.
The meeting was held within the framework of the Turkish Republic’s export goods exhibition in Ashgabat from February 10 to 12.
