
Within the framework of the international forum "Italy – Central Asia (C5) + Azerbaijan," the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, Berkeli Berkeliyev, held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov.
The parties discussed the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the agrarian sector, the exchange of experience, and the expansion of joint projects. Special attention was paid to the effective use of existing opportunities in the cotton seed production sector, its distribution by regions, and the introduction of high-yielding varieties. The digitalization of agriculture and the introduction of modern technologies were key areas of the talks. The participants exchanged views on promoting joint initiatives, the practical application of innovative solutions, and training farmers in modern agrotechnologies.
It was also noted that the implementation of pilot projects to improve the skills of farmers would create conditions for increasing productivity and expanding the export potential of agriculture.
As a result of the talks, both sides confirmed their readiness to continue regular and mutually beneficial cooperation, implement new joint projects, and modernize the agrarian sector.
