Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed cooperation in the field of highway construction

The Minister of Highways of Turkmenistan, Hangeldi Kerimow, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, Rawshanbek Alimow. During the meeting, important issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of highway construction were discussed.

According to the "Dunyo" news agency's report on Sunday, the parties also exchanged views on the directions for developing transport and transit corridors between the two countries.

During the meeting, the participants paid special attention to the use of advanced technologies in road construction, digital management of infrastructure projects, the design of bridges and transport facilities, as well as the exchange of experience in other areas of mutual interest.

The parties noted that the construction and commissioning of the Ashgabat — Turkmenabat high-speed highway will contribute to the increase in trade turnover and freight transport between the two countries, as well as the development of international transit routes.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand practical cooperation by organizing mutual visits, conducting expert working meetings, and implementing joint projects.
