Turkmenistan national wrestling team: calendar of international competitions for 2026

In 2026, the calendar of major international wrestling competitions with the participation of Turkmen athletes was published.

The season will open with the Asian Championships among senior wrestlers, which will be held on April 6–12 in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. A month later, from May 23 to 31, the Asian Championships for the U-17 and U-23 age categories will take place in Da Nang, Vietnam.

In summer, the main focus will be on the World Championships. The World Championship for athletes under 17 is scheduled to be held from July 27 to August 2 in Baku, Azerbaijan. After that, from August 17 to 23, the World Championship for the U-20 age category will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia.

In autumn, the athletes will compete at the Asian Games, which will be held from September 30 to October 3 in Nagoya, Japan. In October, the competitions will continue with the U-23 World Championship, which will take place on October 12–18 in Las Vegas, USA.

The final and most important tournament of the season will be the World Championship among senior wrestlers, which will be held from October 24 to November 1 in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
