On October 20, 2026, H. Geldimyradov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, attended the expanded meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), held in Dushanbe. He participated as an honoured guest representing an invited state. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on key issues of regional cooperation. They also considered opportunities to further expand practical cooperation in trade and the economy, transport and logistics, energy, and other areas.

Particular attention was paid to developing mutually beneficial economic ties, strengthening transport connectivity, and implementing joint initiatives aimed at ensuring the region’s sustainable development.

Turkmenistan’s participation in this international event demonstrates the country’s commitment to developing constructive dialogue with regional states, expanding international cooperation, and strengthening relations based on mutual respect and consideration of the interests of all parties.
