
Turkmenistan has expressed interest in organizing specialized business visits to the Republic of Belarus to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of transport, information technologies, and light industry. This was stated by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, Mergen Gurdov, during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkmenistan, Stanislaw Chepurnoy, held on Thursday in Ashgabat. The information was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of trade and economic cooperation and prospects for its future development. In particular, special attention was paid to attracting Belarusian business representatives to the international exhibition “Agro Pack Turkmenistan-2026,” scheduled to take place in Ashgabat on May 12–14, 2026, according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The parties also exchanged views on ensuring the participation of Turkmen business representatives, including with a national pavilion of Turkmenistan, in the international agricultural industry exhibition “Belagro-2026,” which is planned to be held in Minsk from June 2 to 6, 2026.
The parties emphasized the important role of international exhibitions in strengthening business relations, establishing new partnerships, and increasing mutual trade turnover, and expressed readiness to further develop cooperation in this area.
Earlier, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan presented an expanded schedule of conferences and exhibition events planned for 2026.
