
Turkmenistan plans to establish an interagency working group to simplify trade procedures. This was announced on Friday at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev, who made the relevant proposal.
According to official media, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on measures being taken to implement the Framework Agreement on Facilitating Cross-Border Trade in the Asia-Pacific region. He also noted that national groups have already been established in the participating countries.
In this regard, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan is studying international experience and taking steps to establish an interagency working group to simplify trade procedures. The creation of this group will enable the country to effectively fulfill obligations arising from international agreements and continue coordinated action with regional and global partners in this area.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, after hearing the report, noted that effective work is being carried out to expand the country’s trade and economic relations with the world. He also approved the proposal and instructed to take the necessary steps to establish the interagency working group.
Other important issues of state life were also considered at the meeting, and appropriate decisions were adopted.
