
Turkmenistan and the Starlink project of the U.S.-based company SpaceX discussed prospects for future cooperation in the field of digital technologies, telecommunications systems, and the implementation of modern satellite communication solutions.
The issue was addressed during a bilateral meeting between the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, M. Astanagulov, and Rebecca Hunter, Director of Global Licensing and Market Development for SpaceX’s Starlink project. The meeting took place on 4–5 February 2026 in Bishkek within the framework of the second B5+1 Business Forum, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Both sides expressed interest in further developing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Starlink is a global satellite communication system developed by SpaceX to provide high-speed internet access anywhere in the world. The project is owned by American entrepreneur Elon Musk, and satellite launches are carried out using SpaceX rockets.
