
On March 4, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat and signed the book of condolences opened in memory of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei. This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, and expressed his condolences regarding this significant loss.
The book of condolences was opened not only at the embassy but also at the Iranian Cultural Center in Ashgabat. It was opened on March 4 and will remain available for 10–15 days.
Previously, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, sent a letter of condolence on behalf of the people of Turkmenistan to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Iranian people regarding the untimely passing of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
