
During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the progress of work on bringing the country's national legislation into line with modern requirements was discussed. During the meeting, the Chairperson of the Mejlis, D. Gulmanova, reported on the measures being implemented to modernize the existing legal acts.
Currently, large-scale legislative work is being carried out based on proposals put forward by various ministries and sectoral departments of the country. Accordingly, drawing from current realities, relevant amendments and additions are being prepared for several major codes of Turkmenistan, including the Arbitration Procedure, Labor, Sanitary, Family, and Housing Codes.
Furthermore, with the aim of protecting citizens' rights and modernizing state administration, a number of important laws are being updated. These laws include:
Emphasizing the importance of improving the legal framework, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov specifically evaluated the preparation of the new draft laws. The Head of State stressed that the documents under preparation must fully comply with the demands of the time and the current pace of life, reiterating the significance of consistently developing the country's legislative system.
