Starting from January 5, 2026, the Ministry of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan has begun accepting applications and related documents for the issuance of licenses. This was reported on the ministry’s official website.
The new procedures are linked to the modernization of sectoral legislation. The key change is the simplification of the document submission process for private entrepreneurs and companies through the introduction of remote communication methods.
Applicants may submit their applications remotely using one of two methods. The first method involves sending the application, supporting documents, and scanned copies of the original documents on an electronic CD by post. The date the package is received by the Ministry of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan is considered the official application date.
The second method involves sending scanned copies of the application and accompanying documents to the ministry’s official email address. The date an online response stating “Your documents have been received” is issued is considered the application date. Original documents must be presented at the time the license is issued.
In-person document submission is organized at the following address: Ashgabat city, Archabil Avenue, 126. Applications are accepted from 10:00 to 12:00, while issued licenses are distributed from 15:00 to 17:00.
