A total of 138.2 tons of washed sheep wool imported from Turkmenistan has arrived in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russian Federation, according to a report by the Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) regional department.

As of August 12, seven shipments of washed sheep wool from Turkmenistan have been delivered to the region under Rosselkhoznadzor supervision since the beginning of 2026.

Most recently, on August 10, specialists inspected the latest shipment weighing 19.6 tons, destined for industrial enterprises in Ulyanovsk.

"The product was harvested and washed across Turkmenistan's regions over the past 12 months. During the registration process, specialists reissued Turkmenistan's veterinary certificates into Form No. 3 certificates in the 'Mercury SVH' system. No violations of veterinary requirements were detected," the agency reported on its official website.
