
The U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of India, Sergio Gor, expressed his gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for the hospitality extended.
Sergio Gor made this statement following a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the discussion, recent positive developments in the region were addressed, including his visit to Turkmenistan. The diplomat shared this information on his social media platforms on Tuesday.
As part of the visit, U.S. Special Envoy Sergio Gor and U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll held meetings with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as with the Minister of Defense of Turkmenistan, Begench Gundogdyyev.
In addition, Sergio Gor held talks with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov. During the meetings, the parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral cooperation and future directions for its development.
